30 Day Snap #12 | Cocktail Cakes

Hello Blogger friends,

This photo had to be taken super quick because in a few seconds they would all be gone. These are not just any ordinary brightly coloured cupcakes. These are Cocktail cupcakes. The different flavours are;
Pina Colada
Mojito
Strawberry Daiquiri
and
Cosmopolitan.

Mmm I just had a Mojito cupcake and it actually tasted like a real cocktail Mojito. If you are wondering where you can get these yummy gems, they are from 3D cakes in Edinburgh.
Just a short post today. I am now going to run up and down the stairs a few times to burn off the millions of calories and E-numbers.

What has been the most exciting part of your day? And are you a cake/pudding person? I know some people aren't a fan of the sweet stuff.

Love Rach xx

30 Day Snap #11 | Sky

Hello Blogger friends,

Today I have done nothing at all of interest. I just sat on my bum and 'studied' (or played my Nintendo 3DS). I don't even think I went outside today.  I was racking my brain thinking what I could take a snap of today and I came up with nothing. So I looked though the photos on my camera to see if anything would inspire me and I came across these which I had completely forgotten about. According to my camera this was taken on the 25th of May. I know you are supposed to take a photo of that day but I couldn't not post this. I just thought it was a really beautiful sky and I couldn't think of an other time when I would post this. Isn't it just amazing how breathtaking the world is? Even from your bedroom window.

What have you been doing today? I hope your day has been more exciting than mine.

30 Day Snap #10 | Fathers Day

Hello Blogger friends,

As it is fathers day today I thought it only seemed right to post a photo of me and my Dad. This photo is super old, I think it was taken about 5 years ago at the Duxford flight museum. None the less it is my all time favourite photo of the both of us.

What was I wearing?

We don't really have much of a fathers day tradition in our family, in fact we are doing nothing to celebrate it today. I just got him a wee present. I feel that you shouldn't have to wait till one day of the year to tell your Dad how awesome he is at being your dad. We should be telling them all the time!

Do any of you have any fathers day traditions? Let me know how your day has been

30 Day Snap #9 | Shop till you Drop

Hello Blogger friends,

I went shopping with one of my friends today and had a great time hanging out with her. I have not been shopping in such a long time so I think that justifies the amount of money that was spent..... but not really.

Would it be weird if I did a bit of a 'haul' post? Would anyone actually be interested? Not to show off but just if anyone is interested in what I bought from Primark and River Island. Let me know what you think.

Hope you are all having chilled out Saturdays!

30 Day Snap #8 | Friendship

Hello Blogger friends,

Personally I value friendship above everything else in the world. Who need loads of money, clothes, make-up, fame or even popularity when you have true friends who except everything about you even if you are a bit crazy at times. Relationships come and go but when things don't always work out your friends are there to pick up the pieces! And they always got your back.

I just love this photo that was taken tonight in MacyD's on princess street on a Friday night but I love the people in the photograph even more. I hope these memories say with me forever and I never forget what is truly important to me.

30 Day Snap #7 | Homely

Hello Blogger Friends,

Firstly I am sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have not had a great week at work so I didn't really feel like writing when I got home. However, I have the weekend off and I am feeling much better about things.

Because I have not been feeling that great this week I decided to look for a 30 Day Snap that makes me feel as homely and comforted as possible.

This is a photo of my Dad's herb garden that sits on the window sill in my kitchen. My Dad is always coming up with little projects and making things like this. I don't know about you but nature always makes me feel better. The colours, the smells, the feelings of nature always make me feel bright and alive. The fact that we have this little garden inside always makes me smile (inside, I don't want people to this I am weird for smiling at some plants). The fact that this reminds me of my Dad also comforts me. My Dad likes to look after me by cooking my meals, offering to drive me places, he also gives me random little hugs now and again.

This post was quite hard for me to write as I have not written anything in ages, also because I have been feeling a bit uninspired as my days have been a bit dull and unstimulated. Now that I have four days off I am going to get back to writing everyday because I really am enjoying this and have missed it while I have been away. I am also enjoying getting to know other Bloggers.

Hope you are having a lovely day.

30 Day Snap #6 | Mallows

Hello Blogger Friends,

Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday. I was busy most of the day and didn't have any laptop time.
Dose anyone else do this when toasting marshmallows? It is just the best thing in the world. When the outside is all crispy and the inside is all soft and sticky....mmmmmmm.....

To me toasting marshmallows always means spending time with wonderful friends, making precious memories that I want to hold on to. They remind me of summer evenings and sunsets and bonding with friends. Who would have thought you could get sentimental over a marshmallow?

This photo was taken on Sunday even when I was hanging out with the youth fellowship. Two of the people in the group are leaving, they are getting married in three weeks and we wanted to do something to celebrate our time together and say thank you to them (even though they ended up doing most of the cooking). So we had a BBQ played some games and had some good old banter.
Not a very long or detailed post today but it is only the '30 Day Snap' post so it doesn't have to be detailed. I will post more photographs from this day another time.

30 Day Snap #5 | A Good Deed

Hello Blogger Friends,

A few days ago (I know it's probably cheating) I went food shopping with my wonderful Granny. However, not any ordinary food shopping as we were not buying food for ourselves. My Granny and  her friends got together and put some money together to buy some food for people and families in need. My Granny and I had loads of fun going round the supermarket trying to buy as much food as possible with £30. As you can see from the photograph pretty much everything we bought was 'everyday value'. Safe to say we got some funny looks at the checkout buying hundreds of tin cans at about 40p each but it was all part of the fun. The charity my Granny is donating the food to is the Dundee Foodbank. They  are just great as they help support hundreds of people in crisis.

Again, sorry for the terrible quality of these photos. The camera on my phone is not that great.

Hope you enjoyed reading my blog.

30 Day Snap #4 | Sunset in Scotland

Hey there,

Last night I went for a lovely walk with my beautiful mother. While we were going back home I took this photo of this gorgeous sunset. This photo was just taken with my phone as unfortunately I don't carry my camera around with me all the time. However, I am still happy about the way this photo turned out. Anyway the memories of the time spent with my mother are more important than the photograph itself.

This was taken looking out over the Meadows in Edinburgh.

30 Day Snap #3 | Procrastination in the Mushroom Kingdom

Hey there,
Sorry I haven't posted anything since Monday. I have been super busy at work these last few days but it is approaching the weekend so I have more time on my hands. I am going to post a bog I was writing in my spare time as a summery of these last few days I've missed. I re-read what I had been writing and was extremely confused about what I was trying to get at.

So here is what I wrote on my lunch brakes during my 12 hour sifts. I think you can tell I was in my own world of questionable sanity.

It's day three and I feel as if am already running out of ideas. This is going to be harder than I thought. Therefore I have decided to tell you about my extremely special talent. Now I don't mean to brag but my talent in this particular subject is exquisite. I mean in both practice and knowledge of the subject. I am seriously thinking about going professional. Of cause my extremely well deserved talent is procrastination! But not just any kind of procrastination but the kind where you sit down with your Nintendo wii or Nintendo 3Ds for what seems like half and hour but in reality it's the whole day gone. From the first second I hear 'its a me mario' I have left reality behind and become fully immersed in the game. Don't get me wrong I am terrible at video games! In fact am the worse! Playing Mario bros consists meanly of death after death, goomba after goomba, endless pit after endless pit. I swear iv had more game overs than I can even count. Most people would just give up if they were as bad as me. But am not playing to get 100% am playing for the adventure. Am playing to forget my problems and take on the problems of Mario which seem to be more simple than mine but more trialling. The fact that Mario never gives up trying to reach his goal of saving the princess even if the person controlling him is as bad as me. Game after game, level after level, world after world he is still fighting for peach. I think a few boys could take hints from him in the real world. I think I've wasted enough time going on about Super Mario, it's time to think of some proper ideas and stop procrastinating.

That is it. Promise to never write while extremely tired and bored on a lunch brake again. Then again it could be quite entertaining.

30 Day Snap #2 | New Shoes New Job

Hello there,

These are my new shoes I bought for £20. Today was also the first day of my new job. So this is a day of new things.

All day I have been thinking of a metaphor to do with these shoes that I can use to show my feelings about my new job. Originally I was thinking a long the lines of needing to brake-in your shoes to get used to them. Or that they can make you feel uncomfortable at first and give you blisters and they are just not the same as your old shoes and why did you even bother but after a little bit of perseverance you won't even notice the difference any more.  After I while I thought nah! I will just post a picture of my cool new shoes!
I just want to be clear that I don't ware this shoes to work!

30 Day Snap #1 | Show Garden

Hey there,

I have been inspired to do the 30 Day Snap that Sprinkleofglitter is doing.

I have been meaning to start posting on this blog for quite a long time now and this seems like the perfect project to help me get started.

It will take me a very long time to become good at this as I have never written a blog before but what better way to improve than making myself post a different picture everyday for 30 days!

This first snap is from a gardening show I went to with my mother. It was a great day wondering around looking at all the weird and  wonderful plants and floral displays, soaking in the nice weather and  general atmosphere. I took many pictures throughout the day but this has to be one of my favourites, this is because it is the most unusual thing we saw. This also happens to be part of the winning garden. I can see why, the way the sunlight catches it and reflects so many different colours and to make it even more interesting than it already is  it has water flowing across that makes it even more eye catching. Out of all the many beautiful  gardens at the show this was the one that I was immediately drawn to and it wasn't even because of the flowers! I did enjoy the beauty of the natural flower arrangements but this man-made object I found to be just as beautiful as everything else.

The other photos I took of this day will be posted later at some point.

Hopefully I will be able to keep this up for the whole month of June but I guess it's not called a challenge for nothing. I may miss out a day here and there because work and university are my first priority. However this may have to run into the month of July to make up to 30 days. We will just wait and see how things go.
